What Have I Been Doing?

This is what I've been working on. Each of these is a section of my big hexie project. Now that I'm looking at it, it doesn't look like too much, but this represents MANY hours of work.
Hmmmmm...I wonder what it will look like when I get these pieces added to what I already have done? I guess putting up the big piece and pinning these in place will give me an idea.

Here is what it DID look like.

This is what it looks like with the new sections pinned up on my design wall.
It is getting so big it barely fits on the wall. As you can see, it is hanging off the bottom and isn't finished yet. I'm heading to a quilt retreat with some friends from Tennessee. From there, I'll be heading to an retreat with some artist friends from Kentucky. Hopefully, I'll have a post or two about those. What have you all been up to?

This hexie is really coming to life. Amazing all of this work. It must be gratifying seeing the piece looking like a quilt now. Keep on...
I wish I could say I have been doing something artistic. It seems that all I have been doing is tending my indoor plants, cooking and eating. I don't even have my Christmas tree trimmed. It is up but sitting there glowing without ornament. So it goes this year. It is December already!

This piece is just amazing...and I know the amount of effort it takes! You should be so proud of it! I don't remember how you came up with this design...looks very Native American to me....do tell!

If I tried a project like that it would take me at least 20 years including all the time it would spend in the storage room when I got tired of it. Me, I'm still quilting the Christmas stockings I'm making as Christmas gifts. I'm not near as fast a worker as you are.

I'm impressed even by the top photo! I know how much time that takes. The whole project - wow!
