A Bit of Extreme Embroidery

My "extreme embroidery" project is an easy one to take with me, and I had the opportunity to work on this piece while on a 10 1/2 hour trip to visit my son and his family.

This is the before. (It is a foot.)

This is the after.

Here is some more stitching. The before...

After

I know it doesn't look like much, but this little bit of stitching took approximately eight hours! If you know me, though, you know how important hand stitching is to me and how much I love doing it. It makes me happy.

Kathy--I use lots of different threads--whatever will give me the look, color, and texture I want. The orange I'm using is from a large collection of Sulky Petites (12 weight cotton thread) I have, and the lime green is DMC Perle 8. I also use regular DMC floss, silk thread, and others.

I am always amazed at the imagination you have to be able to create all you projects. Not everyone has that ability! Imagination and talent, you are amazing.
