Starting Something New

Is there anything as glorious as making a baby quilt for a much anticipate grandchild? I think not! My husband and I found out just recently that we will be having a new granddaughter towards the end of July. Of course, that calls for a baby quilt from Mimi. I got started yesterday; here are the first blocks. I have in mind what I'm going to make. I'll keep you updated with progress reports.

These are some wonky star blocks (ala Gwen Marston) on my design wall. I love the uniqueness of each block using all different blues and yellows. I'm making a night-time sky--not positive where I'll go from there. Stay tuned.

I've linked up with Nina-Marie's blog. Check out other links on her blog here.
