Awhile back, I worked on using up some of my HUGE scrap pile. I recently "rediscovered" the blocks and put them up on my design wall. I think I'll go ahead and sew them together at my next retreat. I like the interplay of darks and lights. I'm thinking I might use it as a background for something--we'll see.

Good modern twist!
I decided to start one of these just yesterday. With the other projects I working on right now, I'm going to try to make two blocks a day. What size are your blocks? I was going to make them 9 1/2" so the finished size would be 9" but cut one wrong so now they are 9" for a finished block size of 8 1/2".
While it would make a great background, it is also a wonderful artsy arrangement just as it is. So many wonderful angles remind me of busy city streets. =)
